General Fishing Rules

At Paradise Lakeside Lodges, we invite anglers of all ages to enjoy the serene environment and well-stocked lakes. Please ensure you follow the rules below to ensure the safety of both our visitors and our fish. These guidelines help us maintain a peaceful and respectful fishing experience for everyone.

We thank you for following the rules and ensuring a pleasant fishing experience for all!

General Fishing Rules

  • No dogs are allowed on the site at any time.
  • Guests staying in pods are permitted to fish only the pod lake unless they purchase an upgraded ticket to fish in the lodge lake.
  • Keep all roadways clear for access.
  • No cycling around the lakes.
  • Please use the toilets at your accommodation and not elsewhere.
  • You must have a valid EA rod licence and inform reception if you will be fishing.
  • There is a 2 rod limit per angler.
  • Each angler is allowed only one guest, who must also purchase a valid ticket.
  • No keepnets are allowed.
  • No floating baits are permitted.
  • Plastic baits can be used.
  • No dog or cat food is allowed as bait.
  • All fishing tackle must not be left unattended.
  • We no longer provide nets or mats. You must bring your own and show them when purchasing your ticket. They must be adequate for 20lb fish, or you may hire one for £10 if deemed inadequate by staff.
  • Boilies can be used with a limit of 1kg.
  • Please handle fish with care and return them to the water immediately.
  • Do not hold fish in towels as this can damage them.
  • Do not stand while holding fish.
  • Respect the fish at all times.
  • Anglers under 18 are allowed to fish but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • All rubbish must be taken back to your accommodation.
  • Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult (18+) to be on the lakes.
  • All unused bait must be taken away with you.

Bait Rules

  • Boilies: 1kg limit per session.
  • Pellets: Maximum of 4 bags per day session.
  • Hook Pellets: Any type of hook pellets may be used, but not as feed.
  • Sweetcorn: Limit of one can (285g) per session. Please do not dispose of remaining corn in the lake.
  • Luncheon Meat: Limit of one can (250g) per session. Any type of meat (ham, spam, flavoured, coloured, etc.) is allowed.
  • Maggots: Allowed, but must be stored outside of accommodation.

Tackle Requirements

  • Barbless hooks only.
  • No floating baits.
  • No floating poles.
  • No bait boats.
  • No leaders of any kind.
  • 42″ nets only.
  • No fixed rigs are allowed.
  • Nets, mats, and retainers must be dipped in the dip tank before use.

Age Restrictions

  • 18 and over may fish the Lodge Lake.
  • 16 and under can fish the Pod Lake when accompanied by an adult.
  • No one under 18 is allowed on the Lodge Lake without an adult.

Additional Rules

  • No tents, bivvies only.
  • No baited rods are to be left unattended in the water.
  • N.F.A. rules apply in addition to the above.
